The primary objective of the randomized controlled trial was to determine if phenazopyridine reduces the rate of short-term urinary retention after inpatient prolapse surgery. A secondary objective was to investigate the effect of phenazopyridine on postoperative pain and UTIs.
Interim results from this study were presented at AUGS PFD Week 2018.
