About Dr. Sierra
Tania S. Sierra, M.D., is an emerging leader in the field of urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Dr. Sierra received her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with a dual major in Biology and Brain & Cognitive Sciences, before completing her medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Following her OB/GYN residency program, also at Mount Sinai in New York, Dr. Sierra furthered her surgical training at a highly regarded Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Sierra is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecologists (ABOG) with a subspecialty board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She is licensed to practice medicine in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. Dr. Sierra has authored numerous publications, abstracts, book chapters, and clinical presentations. Her current interests include minimally invasive pelvic surgery and the treatment of incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic dysfunction. Dr. Sierra is natively fluent in Spanish and English.
